Going by the name, we assumed rhis place would serve a whole array of Odisha platter… Bur we were quite disappointed after being seated at the table here…
The menu was no different from any other place serving the regular North Indian food with a small section having a very limited Odisha dishes… The disappointment was further stretched when we learned from the waiter that most of the Odisa dishes mentioned on the menu card were unavailable…
The staff was not at all welcoming and we could see the irritation on the waiter’s face when called upon for ordering…
However we finally managed to place the order from the very limited items that were available and chose to take the safe route by ordering thalis – Prawns / Egg / Mutton…
We were again put down by the waiting time after placing the order… Yes, the thalis arrived almost after half an hour of wait…
With or bellies already burning with hunger, we waited no further and jumped onto our plates the moment it was served…
Very soon our excitement was again let down by the poor quality and taste of the food served…
To be honest the non- veg gravy of all the thalis were the same, the only difference lied in the type of meat that was put into the gravy…
The mutton was not at all well cooked and one will definitely have to fight their way into the flesh…
The Egg curry was just the same except for the fact that it was a bit more watery in texture…
With the waiter’s even lethargic to refill our plates with the veggies and dal, we finally decided to finish off the drama and move over to some other place to give our taste buds a kick…
Another strange observation was that this restaurant charges an incredibly high rate for the same items if ordered through online apps such as Zomato, Swiggy…
