Ingredients
- Mutton pieces
- Onion
- Tomato
- Ginger garlic paste
- Turmeric powder
- Red chilli powder
- Cumin powder
- Coriander powder
- Garam masala powder
- Salt
- Mustard oil
Preparation
- Wash and clean the mutton pieces
- Chop onion and tomatoes
Cooking
- Heat mustard oil in a frying pot or directly in a pressure cooker
- Add chopped onions and fry till it becomes soft
- Add mutton pieces and mix well
- Add turmeric, red chilli, cumin and coriander powder and mix well
- Saute till the onions turn light brown
- Add ginger garlic paste and mix well
- Fry till the pungent odour of ginger garlic paste fades away
- Add chopped tomatoes and mix well
- Add salt to taste
- Keep stirring occasionally till the onion and tomato forms a thick paste and the oil starts separating
- Add the required quantity of water
- Add garam masala powder and mix well
- Close the lid and wait for 5 whistles
Your yummy and steaming hot mutton gravy is ready. Wait for 10 – 15 minutes before opening the lid of the cooker. Transfer the contents into a serving bowl and garnish with coriander, if desired…
Serve it along with roti or rice items….
